Regarding testimonials and endorsements for a Bonchon franchise, am I required to allow Bonchon or its representatives to communicate with my customers?

You agree to permit us (or any of our authorized agents or representatives) to communicate in any manner with your customers to procure customer testimonials and endorsements of the products or services furnished by your franchised Bonchon Business and any related products or services. You agree to cooperate with us in procuring testimonials and endorsements. You agree that we will be free to make whatever use of testimonials and endorsements that we determine, and that we will owe you absolutely no direct or indirect compensation or other duty as a consequence of our use.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Bonchon's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, as a franchisee, you must allow Bonchon or its authorized representatives to communicate with your customers. This communication is for the purpose of obtaining customer testimonials and endorsements related to the products or services provided by your Bonchon franchise.
As a Bonchon franchisee, you are also obligated to cooperate with Bonchon in securing these testimonials and endorsements. Bonchon has the freedom to use these testimonials and endorsements as they see fit, without owing you any direct or indirect compensation or having any other duty to you as a result of their use.
This requirement ensures that Bonchon can actively manage and utilize customer feedback to enhance its brand reputation and marketing efforts. While you are required to allow this communication, you will not receive any compensation for the testimonials obtained from your customers, as Bonchon retains full rights to their use.
