According to Bonchon's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the Bonchon Software provided to the licensee is to be used only for the purposes of the single Bonchon Franchised Business. This business is defined in and is the subject of the Franchise Agreement between Bonchon and the licensee.
This means the software is specifically intended to support the operation of the franchisee's individual Bonchon restaurant. The franchisee's use of the software is restricted to that single location and business. The license granted for the software is nontransferable and nonexclusive, meaning the franchisee cannot transfer the license to another party, and Bonchon can license the software to other franchisees as well.
Bonchon retains proprietary rights over the software, and the licensee must treat it as confidential. The licensee's access to and use of the software is also contingent upon remaining a franchisee in good standing under the Franchise Agreement. If the Franchise Agreement is terminated, the licensee must return or delete all copies of the Bonchon Software.
