What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Bonchon's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the initial franchise fee for the first five Bonchon businesses in the development schedule is $35,000 per location. This fee is payable in full when the Franchise Agreement is signed.
Bonchon does offer a development incentive program. According to the 2025 Development Incentive Program, a qualified area developer who signs an area development agreement for a minimum of three restaurants on or before December 31, 2025, will pay Bonchon an initial franchise fee of $20,000.
It is important to note that the initial franchise fee is non-refundable under any circumstances and is considered fully earned by Bonchon upon payment, solely in consideration of their execution of the agreement. This means that even if the franchisee does not open a Bonchon restaurant, they will not receive a refund of the initial franchise fee.
