What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Bonchon's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are required to maintain Automobile Liability insurance with a minimum combined single limit of $1,000,000 for any owned, hired, or non-owned vehicle used in the Bonchon business.

This insurance coverage is essential to protect both the franchisee and Bonchon from potential financial liabilities arising from vehicle-related accidents. Maintaining the required insurance coverage is a standard requirement in franchising, ensuring that franchisees can meet their financial responsibilities in case of an incident.

Bonchon also stipulates that they, along with their parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, officers, directors, owners, agents, representatives, and employees, must be named as additional insureds in the insurance policies, excluding workers' compensation, employer's liability, and other employee-related insurances. This requirement protects Bonchon from claims arising from the franchisee's products and operations and includes a waiver of subrogation in Bonchon's favor. Franchisees must provide certificates of insurance to Bonchon, evidencing the required coverage, no later than ten days before commencing operations and at least five days after each policy's expiration or renewal date.
