What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Bonchon's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, as a prospective franchisee, you will need to provide specific materials to Bonchon for the evaluation of your proposed restaurant location. These materials include verification that your site meets Bonchon's site selection criteria, utilizing a Bonchon-approved real estate broker, and submitting maps. You must also provide completed checklists, photographs, copies of proposed leases, and diagrams of the premises that include measurements. Bonchon may also request other information and materials that they reasonably require to evaluate your proposed restaurant location.
Bonchon does not guarantee the success of your restaurant at any approved location. Their approval only indicates that the location meets their minimum requirements for a Bonchon restaurant. Franchisees are typically responsible for finding a suitable location that meets the franchisor's criteria, and this process is a critical step in setting up a franchise.
Bonchon also offers a Bonchon Accelerated Architectural Services Program (BAASP) to help franchisees streamline the development of their restaurants. If you are eligible for BAASP, Bonchon will notify you, and you will have 3 business days to confirm your participation. Bonchon will then schedule an initial call with you and a Bonchon-authorized architect to begin the design process. Bonchon will provide the architect with approved schematic and design documents, along with As-Built files from Bonchon's Real Estate Department. The architect will then start generating construction documents.
