What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Bonchon's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, as a prospective franchisee, you must submit specific materials to Bonchon for evaluation of your proposed restaurant location. These materials include maps, completed checklists, photographs, diagrams of the premises with measurements, and any other information or materials that Bonchon may reasonably require. Bonchon's approval of the restaurant location is required and will be final.
Bonchon may also visit the proposed restaurant location to evaluate its suitability. The first visit from Bonchon will be free of cost. However, any subsequent visits will cost $500 per day, plus reimbursement for travel expenses incurred by Bonchon.
If you plan to lease the restaurant location, you must use a real estate broker approved by Bonchon and obtain a lease or sublease that includes a rider substantially in the form of Exhibit E, unless Bonchon approves the lease in advance. You must provide Bonchon with a copy of the proposed lease and any related documents before executing the lease. Bonchon's written approval of the lease is required but will not be unreasonably withheld or delayed, provided the lease includes a rider embracing all provisions of Exhibit C. If Bonchon does not communicate its approval or disapproval within twenty business days of receiving the proposed lease, it will be considered disapproved.
