What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Bonchon's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Bonchon International had granted 153 franchises in the Philippines as of December 31, 2024. This indicates that the Philippines is a significant market for Bonchon, with a substantial number of franchised locations already established.

For a prospective franchisee, this high number of existing franchises in the Philippines could suggest a well-developed brand presence and potentially strong brand recognition in that market. However, it also implies a higher level of competition among Bonchon locations. A new franchisee would need to carefully consider the existing market saturation and identify opportunities to differentiate their restaurant.

It's also worth noting that Bonchon International grants franchises in several other countries, including Thailand, Cambodia, Singapore, and Vietnam. This suggests that Bonchon has experience in international franchising and may have established systems and support structures to assist franchisees in diverse markets. A prospective franchisee should inquire about the specific support and training provided for international locations, as well as any unique challenges or considerations for operating a Bonchon franchise in the Philippines.
