What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Bonchon's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, if Bonchon provides a waiver, approval, consent, or suggestion to a franchisee, it does not make any warranty or guarantee that the franchisee can rely on. Bonchon also assumes no liability or obligation to the franchisee by providing such waiver, approval, consent, or suggestion.
This means that any advice or permissions Bonchon gives should not be interpreted as a guarantee of success or a promise of support if things go wrong. The franchisee is ultimately responsible for their own business decisions and outcomes, even if Bonchon has offered input or allowed a certain action.
This clause protects Bonchon from potential lawsuits or claims based on the franchisee arguing that they relied on Bonchon's guidance to their detriment. It reinforces the franchisee's independent contractor status and their responsibility for managing their Bonchon restaurant.
