You further agree to develop and operate the Bonchon Businesses in strict compliance with all applicable laws, rules and regulations of all governmental authorities; to comply with all applicable wage, hour and other laws and regulations of the federal, state and local governments; to prepare and file all necessary tax returns; to pay all taxes imposed upon you related to the Bonchon Businesses; and, to obtain and keep in good standing all necessary licenses, permits and other required forms of governmental approval required of you.

According to Bonchon's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are responsible for obtaining and maintaining all necessary permits, licenses, and governmental approvals required to operate their Bonchon restaurant. Prior to commencing construction, the franchisee must obtain all necessary permits, licenses, variances, and approvals related to building, occupancy, signs, utilities, zoning, and use, as required by federal, state, and local laws.

Bonchon requires franchisees to obtain all required state, local, and other government certifications, permits, and licenses, including liquor licenses if applicable, before opening their restaurant. Franchisees must also furnish copies of these permits and licenses to Bonchon. Furthermore, franchisees must develop and operate their Bonchon businesses in strict compliance with all applicable laws, rules, and regulations of governmental authorities, including wage and hour laws, and must prepare and file all necessary tax returns.

Bonchon's sample layout and preliminary plans do not address the requirements of any federal, state, or local law, code, or regulation, including the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Franchisees are solely responsible for ensuring that their Bonchon restaurant complies with all applicable laws, rules, regulations, ordinances, building codes, fire codes, and permit requirements. The franchisee's architect must certify that the plans and specifications comply with the ADA and all other applicable laws and regulations.
