What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Bonchon's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are explicitly prohibited from establishing links to any Bonchon website from any other website or page. Bonchon retains exclusive control over all internet and electronic commerce activities related to the Bonchon system.
Bonchon may establish websites and provide a "click through" subpage for each franchisee's business promotion. Franchisees are expected to provide updated content for these subpages as specified in Bonchon's manuals. This ensures that Bonchon maintains a consistent brand image and controls the online representation of the brand.
This restriction extends to franchisees not being allowed to maintain their own websites or mobile applications related to their Bonchon business. They also cannot have a presence or advertise on the internet or any other mode of electronic commerce. This is to ensure that all online activities are centrally managed by Bonchon, maintaining uniformity and quality control across the brand's digital presence.
