According to Bonchon's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee must not use Stripe Technology for any purposes prohibited by law. These prohibited purposes include the development, design, manufacture, or production of missiles, nuclear, chemical, or biological weapons. This restriction ensures that franchisees comply with international and national laws regarding the development and distribution of dangerous weapons.
Bonchon franchisees must also adhere to export control laws. They cannot export, re-export, or transfer Stripe Technology unless authorized by United States law and the laws of the jurisdictions where the technology was distributed and obtained. This includes not providing access to Stripe Technology to individuals or entities in High-Risk Jurisdictions or to High-Risk Persons.
Stripe may suspend services and access to Stripe Technology if it believes that a Bonchon franchisee will violate any law, Financial Services Terms, or Governmental Authority requirement. Additionally, Stripe can suspend services if the franchisee's use of the services enables or facilitates illegal or prohibited transactions or is or may be unlawful.
