Who determines the date, location, and duration of the Bonchon Initial Training Program and Partner Training Program?

According to Bonchon's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Bonchon determines the specifics regarding the Initial Training Program and Partner Training Program. Bonchon decides the commencement date, location (which may be at their Restaurant Support Center in Dallas, TX, or a designated Bonchon Training Restaurant), and the duration of these programs. The training programs typically last between 15 to 20 days.

This means that as a prospective franchisee, you will not have control over when or where you or your staff will be trained. Bonchon will notify you of these details, and attendance is mandatory for the General Manager and potentially the franchisee or Operating Principal, depending on their role in the restaurant's operations. For a third Bonchon Business, the Area Manager must complete the Initial Training Program.

It is important to note that attendees of the Initial Training Program must hold a current Bonchon-approved nationally accredited food manager certification, in addition to any safe food handling courses required by the local municipality. All attendees of both the Initial Training Program and the Partner Training Program must sign a Trainee Waiver, Assumption of Risk, and Indemnification Agreement before attending. Franchisees are also responsible for covering all expenses incurred by their trainees or attendees, including salaries, transportation, meals, and lodging.
