What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Bonchon's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, any individual attending the Initial Training Program or Partner Training Program must sign and return the Trainee Waiver, Assumption of Risk and Indemnification Agreement before attending. This agreement is in the form of Exhibit I to the Franchise Agreement.
Additionally, if a proposed assignee is undergoing training, they must first execute the Confidentiality/Non-Competition Agreement, which is substantially in the form of Exhibit E. This requirement can be waived if the proposed assignee is an existing Bonchon franchisee in good standing.
These agreements are standard practice in franchising to protect Bonchon's interests by ensuring trainees understand the risks involved in the training and agree to maintain confidentiality and not compete with the franchise. Prospective franchisees should carefully review Exhibits E and I to understand their obligations and potential liabilities before signing any agreements.
