What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Bojangles's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the criteria for a restaurant to be considered a 'Qualifying Restaurant' under the Equipment Reimbursement Incentive Program depends on the number of restaurants the developer commits to opening in their Development Agreement. If the agreement is for three or four new restaurants, a 'Qualifying Restaurant' is defined as the first and second new Bojangles restaurants opened by the developer in the assigned area within four years after the Development Agreement's effective date.

In cases where the Development Agreement is for five or more new Bojangles restaurants, a 'Qualifying Restaurant' is defined as the first, second, and fifth new restaurants opened by the developer in the assigned area within five years from the Development Agreement's effective date. Regardless of the number of committed restaurants, all 'Qualifying Restaurants' must meet additional criteria to be eligible for the reimbursement.

Specifically, the restaurant must be located on a site approved by Bojangles, comply with the deadlines outlined in the Development Schedule attached to the Development Agreement, and have a fully executed Franchise Agreement on Bojangles's approved form. Meeting all these conditions ensures that the franchisee can receive reimbursement for up to $300,000 of equipment costs for each Qualifying Restaurant, as directed by Bojangles.
