What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Bojangles's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees face several restrictions regarding advertising and promotional materials. Bojangles mandates that all advertising by franchisees must be conducted in a dignified manner and adhere to the standards and requirements specified in writing by Bojangles. This ensures that the brand image is consistently maintained across all locations.
Before using any advertising or promotional materials that Bojangles has not previously approved or prepared, franchisees must submit samples to Bojangles for prior written approval. This submission can be done via mail with return receipt requested, electronic mail with confirmation of successful transmission, or through next business day delivery. Franchisees are explicitly prohibited from using any advertising or promotional materials without obtaining this prior written approval from Bojangles.
Bojangles retains the right to introduce special promotions, campaigns, contests, and limited offers, including those related to new products or services. While Bojangles will consult with its Franchise Advisory Council regarding these upcoming special promotions, franchisees are required to comply with Bojangles's implementation requirements for these promotions. These measures ensure that all advertising efforts align with Bojangles's overall marketing strategy and brand standards, giving Bojangles significant control over how its brand is presented to the public.
