Bojangles Franchise · 2025 FDD

Answer from 2025 FDD Document

Franchisee agrees that it is important to the operation of the System and the Restaurant that Franchisee and Franchisee's employees receive such training as Franchisor may require, and to that end agrees as follows:

  • (1) At Franchisee's expense, Franchisee's Managing Owner, Designated Operator, managers and other employees shall attend such courses, seminars, and other training programs as Franchisor may require from time to time.

Franchisor shall provide instructors and training materials for all required training programs; and Franchisee or its employees shall be responsible for any and all other expenses incurred by them in connection with any training programs, including, without limitation, the cost of transportation, lodging, meals, and wages.

What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Bojangles's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the franchisee is responsible for covering the expenses associated with any required training programs. This includes costs related to transportation, lodging, meals, and wages for the franchisee and their employees. Bojangles will provide the instructors and training materials necessary for these programs.

This means that as a prospective Bojangles franchisee, you must factor in these training-related costs when budgeting for your initial investment and ongoing operational expenses. The expenses can vary depending on the location of the training, the number of employees requiring training, and the duration of the training programs.

This allocation of costs is fairly standard in the franchise industry, where franchisees typically bear the expenses for their personnel's training, while the franchisor provides the training content and expertise. It is important to carefully review the training requirements outlined in the Franchise Agreement to understand the full scope of these obligations and budget accordingly.
