What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Bojangles's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, when a franchisee proposes a site for their restaurant, Bojangles will review the site approval application. Within 45 days of receiving the application, Bojangles has two options: approve the proposed site or reject it. If Bojangles rejects the site, they must provide comments explaining the reasons for the rejection.

Bojangles reserves the right to reject a proposed site if the franchisee or its affiliates do not demonstrate adequate financial resources and operational readiness to develop the site and operate the restaurant. This includes having adequate capital. Bojangles may also reject the site if the franchisee or its affiliates are not in good standing under the Franchise Agreement or any other agreements with Bojangles or its affiliates. Failure to adhere to Bojangles' manuals, policies, and procedures related to operational standards can also lead to rejection.

This site approval process is a critical step for prospective Bojangles franchisees. Franchisees must carefully evaluate potential sites to ensure they meet Bojangles' criteria before submitting them for approval. Understanding the reasons for potential rejection, such as inadequate financial resources or failure to meet operational standards, is essential for franchisees to increase their chances of site approval and avoid delays in opening their restaurant.
