What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Bojangles's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Bojangles franchisees must ensure that their insurance policies cannot be cancelled without providing Bojangles with thirty (30) days prior written notice. This requirement is part of the broader insurance obligations that franchisees must adhere to.
This stipulation protects Bojangles by ensuring they have ample time to confirm that the franchisee secures replacement coverage, thus maintaining continuous insurance protection for the restaurant. It also allows Bojangles to take necessary actions to protect their interests and manage potential liabilities associated with the franchise operation.
In addition to the advance notice, franchisees must also name Bojangles Opco, LLC, Bojangles' Restaurants, Inc., and their affiliates as additional insureds or loss payees on all insurance policies. Franchisees are also required to furnish Bojangles with copies of all insurance policies or certificates as evidence of coverage and must provide proof of premium payments at least thirty (30) days before the expiration dates of each policy. These measures collectively ensure that Bojangles is well-informed and protected regarding the insurance coverage of its franchisees.
