What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Bojangles's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee seeking an extension on deadlines related to site approval, construction commencement, or restaurant opening must submit a written request to Bojangles at least 14 calendar days before the specific deadline. This request must also include a lump-sum extension fee of $2,500.00.

Bojangles retains the sole discretion to grant or deny the extension request. If approved, Bojangles also determines the length of the extension. Factors influencing the decision to grant an extension may include the franchisee's diligence in developing the restaurant. If Bojangles rejects the extension request, the $2,500.00 fee will be refunded to the franchisee.

It's important to note that any extension granted applies only to the specific deadline for which it was requested and does not alter any other deadlines outlined in the franchise agreement. Strict adherence to the original deadlines is considered essential, and failure to meet them could result in a material breach of the agreement, potentially leading to termination by Bojangles.
