What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Bojangles's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, if a franchisee's restaurant is geographically remote from other Bojangles locations, the franchisee may incur additional costs. Specifically, if the restaurant is not easily accessible by Bojangles's approved suppliers and distributors, the franchisee is responsible for paying any incremental supplier and/or distribution costs. These costs are charged by the approved suppliers and/or distributors for orders and deliveries to the remote restaurant.
This condition is explicitly acknowledged in Exhibit A of the Bojangles Franchise Agreement, under the "Franchise Information" section. The agreement states that the franchisee acknowledges the restaurant's remote location as of the effective date. Due to this remoteness, the franchisee agrees to cover the additional costs associated with supply and distribution.
For a prospective Bojangles franchisee, this means that selecting a location that is far from existing Bojangles restaurants and the established supply chain could lead to higher operating expenses. It is crucial to factor in these potential additional costs when evaluating the financial feasibility of a geographically remote location. Franchisees should discuss potential distribution costs with Bojangles and its approved suppliers during their due diligence process to get a clear understanding of the financial impact.
