What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Bojangles's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee is required to purchase all food items, ingredients, equipment, furnishings, supplies, materials, services, and other items used or offered for sale at the restaurant only from approved suppliers. These suppliers must meet Bojangles' standards and specifications, have adequate quality controls, and be able to reliably supply the franchisee's needs. The suppliers must be approved in writing by Bojangles and not subsequently disapproved.
If a franchisee wishes to purchase from an unapproved supplier, they must submit a written request to Bojangles for approval, or the supplier can request approval themselves. Bojangles has the sole discretion to determine whether to approve the supplier. Bojangles can inspect the supplier's facilities and require samples for testing, with the franchisee or supplier bearing the costs of inspection and testing.
Bojangles retains the right to re-inspect approved suppliers and revoke approval if they fail to continue meeting the current criteria. This ensures that all franchisees maintain consistent quality and standards across all Bojangles locations, protecting the brand's reputation and customer experience. Franchisees must also adhere to Bojangles' specifications for advertising, promotional materials, signs, decorations, paper goods, forms, and stationery bearing the company's proprietary marks.
