What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Bojangles's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the Equipment Reimbursement Incentive (ERI) program offers financial benefits to developers who commit to opening multiple Bojangles restaurants. For a Bojangles franchisee who signs a Development Agreement for 3 or 4 restaurants, only the first and second restaurants that meet the criteria of a 'Qualifying Restaurant' are eligible for equipment reimbursement.

To qualify for the ERI program, the franchisee must sign a new development agreement by December 31, 2025, agreeing to develop at least three new Bojangles restaurants. The franchisee cannot participate in other incentive programs or receive monetary concessions from Bojangles or its affiliates. If multiple development agreements are signed simultaneously, the program applies only to the agreement with the most store commitments. The franchisee and their affiliates must also be in full compliance with all agreements with Bojangles.

A 'Qualifying Restaurant' must meet specific criteria, including being opened in the assigned area within four years of the Development Agreement's effective date, located on an approved site, compliant with the Development Schedule deadlines, and operating under a fully executed Franchise Agreement. Bojangles will reimburse up to $300,000 of equipment costs for each Qualifying Restaurant within 30 days of its opening and upon receipt of satisfactory invoices. This incentive is designed to encourage and support the rapid development of new Bojangles locations by offsetting some of the initial investment costs.
