What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Bojangles' 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee must obtain prior written consent from Bojangles before installing any unapproved items on the restaurant premises. This includes fixtures, furnishings, equipment (including technology), decor, signs, games, vending machines, or other items that have not been previously approved as meeting Bojangles' standards and specifications.

This requirement ensures that the Bojangles brand maintains a consistent image and standard across all franchise locations. By controlling what is installed on the premises, Bojangles can ensure that the restaurant's environment aligns with its brand identity and operational standards. This protects the customer experience and the overall brand reputation.

For a prospective franchisee, this means that any desire to add or change elements within the restaurant, such as installing a vending machine or new decor, requires approval from Bojangles. Failure to obtain this approval could result in a violation of the franchise agreement. It is important to communicate with Bojangles and seek written consent for any modifications to the restaurant's setup to remain in compliance with the franchise agreement.
