What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Bojangles's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee must designate an individual to serve as the Designated Operator at least six months prior to opening the restaurant. The Designated Operator is responsible for the full-time supervision and conduct of the franchised business, as well as any other Bojangles restaurants operated by the franchisee.

The Designated Operator must also attend and successfully complete Bojangles's initial training program. Additionally, the Designated Operator is required to execute a Confidentiality Agreement in the form required by Bojangles. The franchisor must approve any person serving as a Designated Operator.

If the Designated Operator cannot fulfill their obligations, the franchisee must promptly designate a replacement, who also needs to meet the same conditions and qualifications. This replacement Designated Operator must complete the initial training program within 180 days of being appointed. This requirement ensures that a qualified and trained individual is always in charge of the restaurant's operations, maintaining the standards of the Bojangles brand.
