What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Bojangles's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee may request an extension of up to six months for the Site Approval Deadline, Construction Commencement Deadline, or Opening Deadline. The extension fee is $2,500.00, which must be paid when the extension request is submitted. This fee compensates Bojangles for costs, expenses, and lost opportunities related to the proposed extension.
The extension request must be received by Bojangles at least 14 calendar days before the applicable deadline. Bojangles, at its sole discretion, may grant an extension and will determine the length of the extension if approved. Factors considered by Bojangles include the franchisee's diligence in developing the restaurant.
If Bojangles rejects the extension request, the $2,500.00 extension fee will be refunded to the franchisee. It's important to note that any extension granted only adjusts the specific deadline for which it was requested and does not alter any other deadlines outlined in the agreement.
