What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Bojangles's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, for Bojangles Express Restaurants, all signage on the convenience store or other structure's premises relating to the Bojangles restaurant must be approved by Bojangles. The developer is responsible for obtaining all necessary permits and covering all costs associated with the construction of the restaurant, including any interior and exterior modifications or additions to the building where the restaurant will be located, as well as permits required for any signage related to the restaurant.

This requirement ensures that the signage aligns with Bojangles's brand standards and complies with local regulations. It also means that a prospective franchisee will need to submit their signage plans to Bojangles for approval and factor in the time required for this process during the restaurant's development.

This stipulation is a common practice in franchising, as franchisors typically maintain strict control over branding and signage to ensure consistency across all locations and protect the brand's image. Franchisees should be aware of these requirements and the associated costs when considering a Bojangles Express Restaurant franchise.
