What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Bojangles' 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the Designated Operator's primary responsibility is the full-time supervision and conduct of the franchised Bojangles business, as well as any other Bojangles restaurants operated by the franchisee. This individual must also be approved by Bojangles.

The Designated Operator is a key role, and Bojangles requires this person to attend and successfully complete the initial training program. This ensures they are well-versed in the Bojangles system and standards. Furthermore, the Designated Operator must sign a Confidentiality Agreement, indicating the importance of protecting Bojangles' proprietary information.

If the Designated Operator cannot fulfill their obligations or no longer qualifies, the franchisee must promptly designate a replacement, subject to Bojangles' approval and the same conditions. The replacement Designated Operator must also complete the initial training program within 180 days of appointment. This highlights Bojangles' emphasis on maintaining consistent operational standards and trained personnel in each franchise location.
