13. FEES
- 13.1 Initial Franchise Fee. You agree to pay us an initial franchise fee (the "Initial Franchise Fee") at the time you submit to us the site that you propose for your Business. The Initial Franchise Fee is $10,000, except that the Intial Franchise Fee for an additional Body & Brain Center shall be $9,000 if (i) you are an existing franchisee under, and in full compliance with, an existing franchise agreement for a Body & Brain Center franchise, (ii) you and we agree to enter into a new franchise agreement for the additional Body & Brain Center; and (iii) the new franchise agreement is entered into before the termination or expiration of the existing franchise agreement. What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Body Brain Center Franchise Disclosure Document, the standard initial franchise fee is $10,000. This fee is due when the franchisee submits their proposed site for the Body Brain Center business. Once the Franchise Agreement is signed by both parties, the initial franchise fee is considered fully earned by Body Brain Center and becomes non-refundable to the franchisee.
There is an exception to the standard initial franchise fee for existing franchisees. If a franchisee in good standing wishes to open an additional Body Brain Center, the initial franchise fee for the subsequent location is reduced to $9,000, provided a new franchise agreement is signed before the existing agreement expires or terminates.
The initial franchise fee may be waived entirely for Body & Brain home-based franchisees who exercise their option to convert to a full Body & Brain Center franchise, provided they have met all conditions for conversion, including payment of any applicable conversion fees, as outlined in their original home-based franchise agreement. This provides an incentive for successful home-based franchisees to expand their operations into a physical center.
