Does Body Brain Center specify the rules of the membership program in the Manual?
Body_Brain_Center Franchise · 2025 FDDAnswer from 2025 FDD Document
You agree to participate in any membership program that we require from time to time.
The membership program may include membership privileges for both Dahn Yoga and Body & Brain Centers.
You must accept members at your Center according to the terms of the membership program (currently, if a member of another franchised or company-owned Body & Brain Center desires to switch the member's membership to your Center, you must accept the member at your Center).
You agree to abide by all rules of the membership program that we specify in the Manual from time to time.
In the past, we offered the "Platinum Membership" program and BBYHC offered the "Gold Membership" program.
Although we no longer offer the Platinum Membership program and BBYHC no longer offers the Gold Membership program, you must continue to service customers who previously purchased these memberships under the original terms of the membership program.
At any time, we may reinstate these membership programs or institute new membership programs and you agree to participate in these programs according to the rules we prescribe in the Manual from time to time.
If we reinstate a membership program, you agree to take our form of membership agreement to your lawyer to ensure that it complies with state and local laws.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Body Brain Center's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees must participate in any membership program that Body Brain Center requires. The membership program may include privileges for both Dahn Yoga and Body & Brain Centers. Franchisees must accept members at their center according to the terms of the membership program, including accepting members who desire to switch their membership from another franchised or company-owned Body & Brain Center. Franchisees must also abide by all rules of the membership program that Body Brain Center specifies in the Manual from time to time.
The FDD mentions that in the past, Body Brain Center offered the "Platinum Membership" program and BBYHC offered the "Gold Membership" program. Although these programs are no longer offered, franchisees must continue to service customers who previously purchased these memberships under the original terms. Body Brain Center may reinstate these membership programs or institute new ones, and franchisees must participate according to the rules prescribed in the Manual. If a membership program is reinstated, franchisees must have Body Brain Center's form of membership agreement reviewed by their lawyer to ensure compliance with state and local laws.
This indicates that the specific rules and guidelines for the membership program are detailed within the Body Brain Center's operations manual, referred to as 'the Manual'. This allows Body Brain Center to maintain consistency across all franchise locations and to update the rules as needed. It also places a responsibility on the franchisee to stay informed of any changes to the membership program and to ensure their center is compliant.
