Membership Program

You are to participate in any membership program that we require from time to time. The membership program may include membership privileges for both Dahn Yoga and Body & Brain Centers. You must accept members at your Center according to the terms of the membership program (currently, if a member of another franchised or company-owned Body & Brain Center desires to switch the member's membership to your Center, you must accept the member at your Center). You agree to abide by all rules of the membership program that we specify in the Manual from time to time.

We previously offered a "Platinum Membership" program for Body & Brain Center customers that allowed customers to receive certain benefits and price discounts at all participating franchised locations. Membership also allowed the customer to attend classes at any Body & Brain Center and any Dahn Yoga Center they chose. Dahn Yoga previously offered a "Gold Membership" program that provided similar reciprocal benefits. Under the Platinum Membership and Gold Membership programs, the member paid the Body & Brain Center franchisee or Dahn Yoga Center (as applicable) an initial fee that covered the cost of their training for 1 year. After the initial 1-year period, the member could continue the membership by paying a $10 monthly fee until the member decides to cancel the membership. If a member is primarily training at a center other than the center where they initially purchased the membership, the new center may be entitled to the ongoing monthly fees (together with any remaining balance of the initial membership fee) rather than the center where the customer originally purchased the membership. Although we no longer offer new Platinum or Gold memberships, you are required to participate in the Platinum or Gold membership program and comply with the program rules and procedures that we prescribe from time to time with respect to an

What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to the 2025 Body Brain Center Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees must participate in any membership program that Body Brain Center requires. The rules of the membership program can be changed from time to time, as specified in the Manual. This program may include membership privileges for both Dahn Yoga and Body & Brain Centers. Franchisees must accept members at their Center according to the terms of the membership program. Currently, if a member of another franchised or company-owned Body & Brain Center wants to switch their membership to a franchisee's Center, the franchisee must accept the member.

Body Brain Center previously offered a "Platinum Membership" program, and Dahn Yoga offered a "Gold Membership" program, both of which provided reciprocal benefits. Under these programs, members paid an initial fee covering the cost of their training for one year. After the initial year, members could continue their membership by paying a $10 monthly fee until they canceled. If a member primarily trains at a center other than where they initially purchased the membership, the new center may be entitled to the ongoing monthly fees and any remaining balance of the initial membership fee.

Although Body Brain Center no longer offers new Platinum or Gold memberships, franchisees are required to participate in these programs and comply with the program rules and procedures for customers who maintain their Gold or Platinum Membership status. This means that even if Body Brain Center introduces new membership programs, franchisees must still adhere to the rules of the older programs for existing members. This ensures consistency for long-term members but also requires franchisees to manage multiple sets of rules and procedures. Prospective franchisees should inquire about the specifics of current and planned membership programs and how changes will be communicated and implemented.
