What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Body Brain Center Franchise Disclosure Document, if a franchisee purchases more franchises than they have owners, they must hire at least one individual manager to supervise and operate any Body & Brain Center not managed by an owner. A manager may only manage one Body & Brain Center. The franchisor may also allow a franchisee to hire a manager to assist an owner with the management of their center, as long as the owner remains actively involved with the operation of the center.
Each manager must be approved by Body Brain Center, which may require the manager to visit their headquarters for an interview. The manager must also successfully complete the initial training program, for which the franchisee must pay Body Brain Center a training fee. Before attending training, each manager must sign a Brand Protection Agreement.
Notably, the franchisee is responsible for all food, lodging, and travel costs that their managers incur while attending any training program, workshop, or conference. The franchisee must pay Body Brain Center an initial training fee of $10,000 for each person that attends the initial training program, whether before or after signing the Franchise Agreement. Body Brain Center may also charge a $400 retraining fee for any person who must retake training after failing to successfully complete initial training on a prior attempt.
Prospective franchisees should carefully consider these requirements and costs when planning their business operations, especially if they intend to open multiple locations and rely on hired managers. The training and approval processes underscore the importance Body Brain Center places on maintaining brand standards and protecting its intellectual property.
