- 4.2 Renewal Requirements. In order to enter into a successor franchise agreement, you and the Owners (as applicable) must: (i) notify us in writing of your desire to enter into a successor franchise agreement not less than 180 days nor more than 360 days before the expiration of the Term or renewal term, as applicable; (ii) not be in default under this Agreement or any other agreement with us or any affiliate of ours at the time you send the renewal notice or the time you sign the successor franchise agreement; (iii) sign the successor franchise agreement and all ancillary documents that we require franchisees to sign; (iv) sign a General Release; (v) pay us a $1,000 renewal f

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Body Brain Center Franchise Disclosure Document, the renewal fee to enter into a successor franchise agreement is $1,000. To renew the franchise agreement, the franchisee must provide written notice of their intent to renew between 180 and 360 days before the current term expires. They must not be in default of any agreements with Body Brain Center or its affiliates at the time of renewal notice or when signing the new agreement.
Additionally, the franchisee must sign the current form of the franchise agreement, including all required ancillary documents, and provide a general release. The renewal fee is considered fully earned by Body Brain Center and is non-refundable once the successor franchise agreement is signed.
The initial franchise agreement term is five years, and renewal terms can be either three or five years, at the franchisee's option. The maximum total term, including the initial and all renewal terms, is 15 years. After 15 years, the franchisee has no further right to operate the Center unless Body Brain Center grants another franchise at its sole discretion.
