For what purpose is the Know-how disclosed to a Body Brain Center franchisee?

According to the 2025 Body & Brain Center Franchise Disclosure Document, the franchisor possesses trade secrets and proprietary know-how, including methods, techniques, specifications, procedures, marketing strategies, information comprising the System and the operations manual, as well as information pertaining to the design and operation of a Body & Brain Center, which is collectively referred to as the "Know-how".

Body & Brain Center may disclose certain Know-how to the franchisee during the training program. The franchisee acknowledges that they will not acquire any interest in the Know-how other than the right to utilize it in strict accordance with the terms and conditions of the Franchise Agreement in the development and operation of a Body & Brain Center. The franchisee also acknowledges that the Know-how is proprietary and a trade secret of Body & Brain Center.

In simpler terms, Body & Brain Center provides its franchisees with confidential information and expertise necessary to run a center. However, this information is only to be used as specified in the Franchise Agreement. The franchisee cannot claim ownership of this information, as it remains the intellectual property of Body & Brain Center. This ensures that the franchisee understands the confidential nature of the Know-how and their limited rights to use it solely for operating their Body & Brain Center franchise.
