How many Body Brain Centers are operated by the parent company and affiliates in the United States?

Body_Brain_Center Franchise · 2025 FDD

Answer from 2025 FDD Document

We, along with our parent company and affiliates, currently operate approximately 50 Body & Brain Centers in the United States (1 operated by us, 46 operated by BBYHC, and 3 operated by CGI, Inc., which is a subsidiary of Brain Training Center). BBYHC's principal business address is 1234 S. Power Road, Suite 250, Mesa, Arizona 85206. CGI, Inc.'s principal business address is 111 Homans Ave., Closter, New Jersey 07624. None of the Dahn Yoga Centers are franchises. In the past, Dahn Yoga Centers have not operated under the Body & Brain Center Mark. Instead, they have operated under the mark "Dahn Yoga Center." However, in 2015 all Dahn Yoga Centers operated by our parent company and affiliates rebranded to Body & Brain Centers. Dahn Yoga Centers sell goods and services that are similar or identical to the goods and services sold by Body & Brain franchisees, including physical exercise and meditation training. They also offer products and services that are different from, but complementary to, the products and services offered by Body & Brain Centers.

What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Body Brain Center's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the parent company and its affiliates operate approximately 50 Body Brain Centers in the United States. Specifically, one center is operated by the franchisor, 46 are operated by BBYHC, and three are operated by CGI, Inc., a subsidiary of Brain Training Center.

It is important for a prospective franchisee to understand the relationship between the franchisor, its parent company, and its affiliates, as these entities may have influence over the franchise system. The fact that the parent company and affiliates operate a significant number of locations (50) compared to the number of franchised locations could indicate the level of control and experience the parent company has in the Body Brain Center business model.

Understanding the distribution of company-owned versus franchised locations can provide insights into the franchisor's growth strategy. A higher number of company-owned locations might suggest a preference for direct control and revenue generation, while a greater number of franchised locations could indicate a focus on expanding the brand through partnerships with franchisees. A prospective franchisee should inquire about the long-term strategy of Body Brain Center regarding the balance between company-owned and franchised locations and how that strategy might impact franchisees.
