What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Body Brain Center's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the initial franchise fee is generally not refundable once the franchise agreement is signed. The standard initial franchise fee is $10,000, but it is reduced to $9,000 for existing franchisees who are in full compliance with their current agreement and are entering into a new agreement before the expiration or termination of their existing one.
This non-refundable policy means that once a prospective Body Brain Center franchisee signs the franchise agreement, the initial fee is considered fully earned by the franchisor. Therefore, if the franchisee later decides not to proceed with opening the franchise or if the franchise is terminated for any reason, the franchisee will not receive a refund of the initial franchise fee.
However, the initial franchise fee will be waived if a Body & Brain home-based franchisee exercises their option to convert to a full Body & Brain Center franchise, provided they have met all the conditions for exercising this option, including paying the applicable conversion fee. This waiver provides an incentive for existing home-based franchisees to expand their operations to a physical center.
Prospective franchisees should carefully consider this non-refundable policy and ensure they are fully committed to opening a Body Brain Center before signing the franchise agreement. It is advisable to conduct thorough due diligence, including reviewing the Franchise Disclosure Document, consulting with existing franchisees, and seeking professional advice, to make an informed decision.
