What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Body Brain Center Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee seeking to enter into a successor franchise agreement must fulfill several requirements, including signing specific documents. To renew their franchise agreement, the franchisee and any owners must sign the successor franchise agreement itself, along with all ancillary documents that Body Brain Center requires franchisees to sign at that time. Additionally, they must sign a General Release. These documents ensure that both parties are in agreement with the updated terms and conditions and that any potential liabilities are addressed.
Beyond the signing of these documents, the franchisee must also provide written notice to Body Brain Center of their intent to renew, doing so no less than 180 days and no more than 360 days before the current term expires. They must also not be in default of the existing agreement or any other agreement with Body Brain Center or its affiliates, both when the renewal notice is sent and when the successor agreement is signed.
Finally, the franchisee is required to pay a $1,000 renewal fee. This fee is considered fully earned and is non-refundable once the successor franchise agreement is signed. Meeting all these conditions, including the signing of the required agreements and the payment of the renewal fee, allows the franchisee to continue operating their Body Brain Center under a new franchise term.
