Answer from 2025 FDD Document

Computer System

Your computer system (including software and hardware) must meet our standards and specifications. You may purchase your computer from any supplier of your choosing. You must also utilize the web-based point of sale system that we specify (currently, BRMNet Software), which you will license from our affiliate BBYHC.

What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to the 2025 Body Brain Center Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are not restricted to purchasing their computer hardware and software from specific suppliers, but the system must meet the franchisor's standards and specifications. Franchisees can select their own supplier for the computer system. However, franchisees must utilize the web-based point of sale system, BRMNet Software, specified by Body Brain Center, which they will license from BBYHC, an affiliate of the franchisor.

This means that while franchisees have some flexibility in choosing where they buy their computer hardware and software, they are obligated to use the BRMNet Software for point-of-sale operations. This is a source-restricted item. This ensures uniformity and integration with Body Brain Center's overall system.

The franchisee will pay BBYHC a monthly fee of $40 for the use of the BRMNet Software. This cost should be factored into the franchisee's operating expenses. It is common in franchising to mandate specific software or systems to maintain brand consistency and data management standards across all locations.
