What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to the 2025 Body Brain Center Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees must obtain prior written permission from Body Brain Center to offer any goods or services beyond those authorized. The FDD states that franchisees must offer all services that Body Brain Center requires, and may choose to offer the products that Body Brain Center authorizes. However, franchisees are explicitly prohibited from offering any other goods or services without first securing written approval from Body Brain Center.

This policy ensures that all Body Brain Center locations maintain a consistent brand identity and service offering. It allows Body Brain Center to control the quality and nature of services provided under its name. This also prevents franchisees from potentially offering services that could conflict with the Body & Brain brand or operational standards.

Furthermore, the agreement specifies that a franchisee cannot use their center for any purpose other than providing the goods and services that Body Brain Center authorizes. Body Brain Center retains the right to add or remove authorized goods and services at its discretion, without this constituting a termination of the franchise agreement. This gives Body Brain Center flexibility to adapt its offerings to market demands and maintain brand consistency across all locations.

In practice, this means a prospective Body Brain Center franchisee needs to be aware that their business operations are limited to the services and products approved by the franchisor. Any desire to expand beyond this scope requires prior approval, which may or may not be granted. This is a common practice in franchising, where maintaining brand standards and uniformity is a key element of the business model.
