What This Means (2025 FDD)
Based on the 2025 Body Brain Center Franchise Disclosure Document, the terms and conditions of a successor franchise agreement may vary materially and substantially from the terms and conditions of the original agreement. To enter into a successor franchise agreement, a franchisee must meet several requirements.
First, the franchisee must notify Body Brain Center in writing of their desire to enter into a successor franchise agreement. This notice must be given not less than 180 days and not more than 360 days before the expiration of the current term. Second, the franchisee must not be in default under the existing agreement or any other agreement with Body Brain Center or its affiliates at the time of sending the renewal notice or signing the successor agreement.
Additionally, the franchisee is required to sign the successor franchise agreement and all ancillary documents required by Body Brain Center. They must also sign a General Release and pay a $1,000 renewal fee, which is non-refundable once the successor agreement is signed. Finally, the franchisee must take any additional action that Body Brain Center reasonably requires. These terms ensure that Body Brain Center can update the franchise agreement as needed and that franchisees must meet certain conditions to continue operating under the Body Brain Center brand.
