Answer from 2025 FDD Document

Unless we agree to the contrary, your Business must be opened within 2 years after you sign the Franchise Agreement. We may, but need not, grant you an additional extension period, which will not exceed an additional 2-year period. Your failure to open within the 2-year period (or any approved extension period) constitutes an event of default under your Franchise Agreement.

What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Body Brain Center's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee typically has two years from the date of signing the Franchise Agreement to open their Body & Brain Center. Body Brain Center may grant an additional extension, not exceeding two years, at their discretion. Failure to open the Business within this two-year period, or any approved extension, constitutes a default under the Franchise Agreement.

Several factors can affect the time it takes to open a Body & Brain Center, including securing a suitable location, obtaining financing and building permits, upgrading or remodeling an existing location, installing equipment and fixtures, completing initial training, obtaining insurance, and complying with local laws and regulations. The FDD indicates that a typical franchisee will open their center within 7 months after signing the Training Agreement.

Prospective Body Brain Center franchisees should carefully consider these timelines and potential delays when planning their center opening. It is important to maintain open communication with Body Brain Center regarding any challenges or delays that may arise during the opening process to avoid defaulting on the Franchise Agreement. Franchisees should also confirm with Body Brain Center what specific circumstances might warrant an extension and the process for requesting one.
