What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Body Brain Center FDD, franchisees must use BBYHC's proprietary web-based operations software, BRMNet. The monthly software fee of $40 covers technical support, updates, and upgrades to the software. This fee is paid to BBYHC.
The FDD also states that Body Brain Center reserves the right to change the required software at any time. If the software is licensed from them directly, franchisees may be required to sign a software license agreement and pay commercially reasonable initial and ongoing licensing fees. Alternatively, Body Brain Center may sublicense software from other licensors, in which case franchisees will be charged for all amounts Body Brain Center must pay to those licensors based on the franchisee's software usage.
This means that while the current $40 monthly fee covers support and updates for the BRMNet software, Body Brain Center franchisees should be aware that this fee could change if the franchisor decides to switch software or alter the licensing agreement. It is important to stay informed about any potential changes to software requirements and associated costs, as these could impact the overall operating expenses of the franchise.
