What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Body Brain Center's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the franchisee is responsible for the costs associated with complying with any modifications or discontinuations of the brand's intellectual property. Body Brain Center retains the right to modify its Intellectual Property at any time, at its sole discretion. This includes changes to the Marks, the System, the Copyrights, or the Know-how.

If Body Brain Center makes changes to or discontinues any of its Intellectual Property, franchisees must comply with any instructions provided by the franchisor within 30 days. The franchisee will bear the cost of implementing these changes.

This means that a Body Brain Center franchisee must be prepared to invest in changes to signage, marketing materials, operational procedures, or other aspects of the business to keep in compliance with the franchisor's current standards for its intellectual property. This could potentially involve unexpected expenses, so prospective franchisees should factor this into their financial planning. It is common in the franchise industry for franchisees to bear the costs of implementing changes to intellectual property, as they benefit from the ongoing use of the brand and system.
