What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Body Brain Center's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, attendance at optional periodic training programs is not mandatory. The FDD specifies that Body Brain Center may offer refresher or additional training courses from time to time, but attendance at these programs is optional for franchisees.
However, the FDD also states that attendance at national conferences is mandatory unless an owner or manager cannot attend due to circumstances beyond their control, or if Body Brain Center provides prior written consent that attendance is not required. Franchisees are responsible for all food, lodging, and travel costs incurred while attending any training program, workshop, or conference.
Body Brain Center may charge a training fee of up to $150 per hour for optional periodic training programs or special training requested by the franchisee. Additionally, a conference registration fee of $100 per day per person may be charged for attending national conferences. Therefore, while the periodic training is optional, franchisees should be aware of the costs associated with both optional and mandatory training events.
