- (3) We may, but need not, offer periodic additional training programs. These programs are optional, but if you choose to attend, we may charge you the additional training fee. Upon your request, we may provide additional training that you request. We are not required to provide this training, but if we agree to do so, you must pay us the additional training fee. You are also responsible for all food, lodging and travel costs associated with additional training. If we travel to you to provide the training, you must reimburse us for all food, lodging and travel expenses that we incur.
- (4) You will pay us the $10,000 initial training fee disclosed in Item 5 for each person who attends our
initial training program. If you add a new owner or hire a manager after opening, you must pay us the $10,000 initial training fee to train that person. If that person fails training on the initial attempt, you must pay us the $400 retraining fee for each subsequent attempt. We expect that most franchisees will not have multiple owners.
- (5) We have established and maintain an advertising fund for marketing, advertising and promotional materials, public and consumer relations, publicity, and other programs that we may deem necessary or appropriate in our sole discretion. You will have no voting rights pertaining to the administration of the advertising fund, the creation and placement of the marketing materials or the amount of the advertising fund fee.
- (6) We may establish regional advertising cooperatives for purposes of pooling advertising funds to be used in discrete regions. We will collect the cooperative advertising fees and remit these fees to the applicable advertising cooperative (unless we administer the advertising cooperative ourselves). The amount of the cooperative advertising fee may be adjusted (or temporarily suspended) upon the majority vote of all franchisees within the advertising cooperative. Any Body & Brain Center that we operate will have the same voting power as third party franchisees. If we own the majority of Body & Brain Centers within an advertising cooperative, we will not increase the cooperative advertising fee without the consent of a majority of all third-party Body & Brain Center franchisees within the advertising cooperative.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Body Brain Center's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, attendance at additional training programs is generally optional. The FDD states that Body Brain Center may offer periodic additional training programs, but franchisees are not required to attend. However, if a franchisee chooses to attend these optional programs or requests additional training, Body Brain Center may charge an additional training fee. The amount of this fee can be up to $150 per hour.
In addition to the training fee itself, the franchisee is responsible for covering all associated costs, including food, lodging, and travel expenses. If Body Brain Center travels to the franchisee's location to provide the training, the franchisee must reimburse Body Brain Center for all incurred food, lodging, and travel expenses.
While additional training programs are optional, Body Brain Center also holds national conferences. Attendance at these national conferences is mandatory unless an owner or manager cannot attend due to circumstances beyond their control, or if Body Brain Center waives the attendance requirement at its sole discretion. There is a national conference fee of up to $100 per day per person, and franchisees are responsible for all food, lodging, and travel costs associated with attending the national conference.
