Body20 Franchise · 2025 FDD

Answer from 2025 FDD Document

5.1 Initial Training. Prior to opening the Studio, you (or your Operating Principal, if you are an Entity) and your Designated Manager (collectively, "Required Trainees") must personally attend and satisfactorily complete our initial training program ("Initial Training"). We will provide Initial Training as soon as practicable after the execution and delivery of this Agreement at our offices, at any other location that we designate, and/or remotely via recorded media, teleconference, videoconference, the Internet, webinar, or any other means, as we determine. We will determine the length, timing, location, and substance of Initial Training in our sole discretion. We may waive a portion of Initial Training or alter the training schedule if we determine that your Required Trainees have sufficient prior experience or training or have previously been trained at one of our Studios. Each subsequent Operating Principal and Designated Manager must attend our Initial Training unless we otherwise agree in writing.

What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Body20's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Body20 may waive a portion of the initial training program or alter the training schedule. This is contingent on Body20's assessment that the franchisee's required trainees (which includes the franchisee or their Operating Principal if the franchisee is an entity, and the Designated Manager) possess sufficient prior experience or training, or have been previously trained at one of their studios.

This waiver provision could benefit prospective Body20 franchisees who already have relevant experience in fitness training or business management. It potentially reduces the time and cost associated with the initial training program. However, the decision to grant a waiver is at Body20's sole discretion, so a new franchisee cannot assume they will automatically qualify for a waiver even with prior experience.

Each subsequent Operating Principal and Designated Manager must attend Body20's Initial Training unless Body20 agrees otherwise in writing. If the Required Trainees do not successfully complete the Initial Training, they must repeat it or the franchisee must send replacement Required Trainees to complete the training. The Required Trainees must successfully complete Initial Training at least 30 days before the studio opens or by an earlier deadline specified by Body20.
