Under what conditions might Body20 not provide any territory to a franchisee?
Body20 Franchise · 2025 FDDAnswer from 2025 FDD Document
Typically, the territory will be a geographic area encompassing (i) a population of approximately 50,000 people surrounding the applicable Studio or (ii) a two-mile radius from the front door of the Studio, whichever includes fewer people. However, in very high-density urban markets having a population above one million people, we might not provide any territory at all or might reduce the territory to no more than a city block.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Body20's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the granting of a territory is not guaranteed and depends on the location of the studio. Typically, Body20 grants a territory encompassing either a population of approximately 50,000 people surrounding the studio or a two-mile radius from the studio's front door, whichever includes fewer people. However, Body20 franchisees should be aware that these are only typical guidelines.
In very high-density urban markets with a population above one million people, Body20 might not provide any territory at all. Alternatively, in such dense urban areas, Body20 might reduce the territory to no more than a city block. This means that a Body20 franchisee in a major metropolitan area could face direct competition from other Body20 locations without any territorial protection.
Prospective Body20 franchisees should carefully consider the implications of potentially not receiving a protected territory, especially if they are planning to open a studio in a large city. It would be prudent to discuss the specific criteria Body20 uses to determine territory size and whether any territory will be granted at all, given the specific location being considered. Understanding these factors is crucial for assessing the potential for competition and the overall viability of the franchise.
