Answer from 2025 FDD Document

est, conduct the in-person portion of Coach Onboarding at your Studio, you must us an additional training fee of $1,000 per trainer per day and reimburse us for the travel and living expenses of our trainers.

Additional Training. We may periodically conduct mandatory or optional training programs for your Required Trainees and/or your employees at our office or another location that we designate. There will be no charge for training programs that we require you or your employees to attend (other than third-party training or certification programs that we require your fitness coaches and other employees to complete and the Initial Training and Instructor Onboarding discussed above) but we may charge you a reasonable fee for optional training programs. We may provide additional training in person or via recorded media, teleconference, videoconference, the Internet, webinar, or any other means, as we determine. We may require your Required Trainees or employees to satisfactorily complete any additional training programs that we specify. We may require your Required Trainees to participate in up to five days of refresher or advanced training each year.

If, in our sole judgment, you fail to maintain the quality and service standards set forth in the Manuals, we may, in addition to all of our other rights and remedies, assign trainers to the Studio to retrain Studio employees and restore service levels and/or require you or your employees to repeat Initial Training or attend additional training programs at a location that we designate. We may charge a fee of up to $1,000 per trainer per day, plus their travel and living expenses, for each trainer assigned to your Studio and any remedial training.

If your Designated Manager ceases to be employed by you at the Studio and you are unable to immediately appoint and train a new manager, we may, in our sole discretion and for a reasonable fee, provide a Designated Manager to work at your Studio temporarily until a new Designated Manager is appointed and trained. In such instances, you will pay us the Management Fee.

Training by You. Your Required Trainees are responsible for training all of your other employees (and subsequent Designated Managers) in accordance with our standards and training programs. If, in our sole judgment, you fail to properly train your employees in accordance with our standards, we may prohibit you from training additional employees and either require them to attend training at our headquarters (for which you must pay us a training fee of up to $1,000 (currently, $500) per trainee per day) or pay for our costs and expenses to send one of our representatives to train them at your Studio.

Other Training and Certification Requirements. You must comply, and ensure that your Studio employees comply, with, within the time periods that we designate, all applicable training and certification requirements that we, through the Manuals or otherwise, impose or may in the future impose, including attending and completing, at your sole cost, a fitness certification course through an accredited program that is nationally or internationally recognized, such as National Academy of Sports Medicine, the American Council on Exercise, or the International Sports Sciences Association (which we may provide through our online training university), or any training required or recommended by our approved third-party equipment suppliers.

Delegation. We may delegate the performance of any or all of our obligations under the Franchise Agreement, and our right to exercise any of our rights under the Franchise Agreement, to one of an affiliate, manager, agent, independent contractor, or other third party. We will, however, remain responsible for ensuring that those obligations are performed in compliance with the terms of the Franchise Agreement.

What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Body20's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Body20 may conduct both mandatory and optional training programs for franchisees' Required Trainees and/or employees. These programs can take place at Body20's office or another designated location. Franchisees may be charged up to $3,000 per attendee for optional training programs. Body20 may provide additional training in person or via recorded media, teleconference, videoconference, the Internet, webinar, or any other means they determine.

Body20 may also require Required Trainees to participate in up to five days of refresher or advanced training each year. If a franchisee fails to maintain Body20's quality and service standards, Body20 may assign trainers to the studio to retrain employees, require repetition of Initial Training, or mandate attendance of additional training programs. In such cases, Body20 may charge a fee of up to $1,000 per trainer per day.

Furthermore, each individual providing fitness coaching at the Body20 studio must attend and successfully complete Body20's coach onboarding program before coaching. If a coach has completed the onboarding program within the prior two years in connection with another studio, they are not required to attend at that time, but each coach is required to attend the then-current Coach Onboarding every two years. As of the Effective Date, Coach Onboarding generally comprises five days of in-person training and 15 hours of online instruction. The Coach Onboarding Fee is currently $125 for each attending coach, plus up to an additional $1,000 per coach that Body20 determines requires supplemental training. Body20 may also impose additional training and certification requirements in the future.
