What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Body20's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the brand provides a total of 43 hours of classroom training and 32 hours of on-the-job training. This initial training is mandatory for Required Trainees and must be completed at least 30 days before the studio opens. The franchisor determines the specifics of the training, including length, timing, location, and substance. The training may be conducted at Body20's offices, another designated location, or remotely.

Body20 also provides Coach Onboarding, which comprises five days of in-person training at a designated studio and 15 hours of online instruction. This onboarding is required for each individual providing fitness coaching at the studio, though coaches who have completed it within the prior two years at another Body20 studio are exempt. The Coach Onboarding Fee is currently $125 per fitness coach. Franchisees should also budget for potential additional practice, coaching, or follow-up instruction for their coaches, which could cost up to an additional $1,000 per coach, as well as travel and living expenses for coaches attending the onboarding.

In addition to initial training, Body20 may conduct periodic mandatory or optional training programs for franchisees and their employees. While there is no charge for mandatory training programs, Body20 may charge a reasonable fee for optional programs. Franchisees may also be required to participate in up to five days of refresher or advanced training each year. If a franchisee fails to maintain Body20's quality and service standards, Body20 may assign trainers to the studio to retrain employees, charging a fee of up to $1,000 per trainer per day, plus travel and living expenses. Franchisees are responsible for training their other employees and subsequent Designated Managers according to Body20's standards and training programs.
