TABLE 3: AVERAGE MONTHLY ATTRITION RATES FOR ALL COVERED STUDIOS DURING THE REPORTING PERIOD
Table 3 presents the average monthly member attrition rate (the "Average Monthly Attrition Rate") for each Covered Studio during the Reporting Period. The Average Monthly Attrition Rate was calculated for each Covered Studio by: (a) calculating the monthly attrition rate for each Covered Studio for each month in the Reporting Period by taking the number of cancelled Studio memberships in each month and dividing it by the total number of members at the beginning of such month (calculated as total members, excluding members with frozen memberships) (the "Monthly Attrition Rate"), (b) aggregating the Monthly Attrition Rate for each Covered Studio for each of the 15 months of the Reporting Period, and (c) dividing the aggregate Monthly Attrition rate for each Covered Studio by 15 (the total number of months in the Reporting Period). The Covered Studios were then sorted in ascending order by Average Monthly Attrition Rates and split into halves.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Body20's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the Average Monthly Attrition Rate is determined using a multi-step calculation. First, the Monthly Attrition Rate is calculated for each Covered Studio for each month in the Reporting Period. This is done by dividing the number of cancelled studio memberships in each month by the total number of members at the beginning of that month, excluding members with frozen memberships.
Next, the Monthly Attrition Rate for each Covered Studio is aggregated for each of the 15 months of the Reporting Period. Finally, this aggregate Monthly Attrition Rate for each Covered Studio is divided by 15, which represents the total number of months in the Reporting Period. This final figure represents the Average Monthly Attrition Rate for that studio.
The FDD also notes that during the Reporting Period, the lowest actual Monthly Attrition Rate reported in any month by a Covered Studio was 0%, while the highest was 43%. This indicates a wide range of attrition rates among Body20 studios, which could be influenced by factors such as location, management, and local market conditions. The Average Monthly Attrition Rate for all covered studios was 10%.
