What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Body20's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the General Release requires the Franchisee, Transferee, and Guarantors to release the Franchisor and related parties from all claims. This release encompasses all debts, demands, liabilities, suits, judgments, and causes of action, regardless of their nature, whether known or unknown, vested or contingent, or suspected or unsuspected. This includes claims arising under federal, state, and local laws, rules, and ordinances, as well as claims related to the Franchise Agreement and other agreements between the parties, stemming from any act, omission, or event occurring on or before the date of the release, unless prohibited by applicable law.

The release extends to Body20 Franchisor LLC, its past and present officers, directors, shareholders, managers, members, agents, and employees, in both their corporate and individual capacities. It also covers Body20's parent companies, subsidiaries, and affiliates, along with their respective officers, directors, shareholders, managers, members, agents, and employees in their corporate and individual capacities. The release is comprehensive, aiming to prevent any future legal actions against Body20 and its associated parties related to the franchise operation.

They accept this risk and agree that the release remains effective regardless of any such differences in facts, and it cannot be terminated or rescinded due to these differences. This ensures that the release is binding and enforceable, even if new information comes to light after its execution. The Releasors also agree not to initiate any legal proceedings against the Released Parties regarding any claim released under Section 1.
